ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM & NATURAL GAS (SHRI DHARMENDRA PRADHAN)
(a) to (c) As on 22.07.2016, 18.34 lakh new LPG connections have been released under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) across the country. Out of these 13,227 LPG connections have been released in Jodhpur District in the State of Rajasthan.
The Government has announced a target of 5 crore LPG connections to women belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families over a period of 3 years starting from Financial Year 2016-17 under PMUY. Target for Financial Year 2016-17 is 1.5 crore and, so far, nearly 12 % of the target has been achieved.
