Government extended the last date for availing the Direct Tax Dispute Resolution Scheme, 2016 up to 31st January, 2017.

Direct Tax Dispute Resolution Scheme- 2016 extended up to 31st January, 2017
In view of the representations received from various stakeholders and for the convenience of the taxpayers, the last date for availing the Direct Tax Dispute Resolution Scheme, 2016 (the Scheme) has been extended up to 31st January, 2017. The scheme was to close on 31st December, 2016.
In order to reduce the pending litigation, the Scheme was introduced by the Finance Act, 2016. The Scheme came into force from 1st June, 2016 vide notification S.O. 1902(E) dated 26th May, 2016.

प्रत्यक्ष कर विवाद समाधान योजना- 2016 की अवधि 31 जनवरी, 2017 तक बढ़ाई गई
विभिन्न हितधारकों से प्राप्त अभिवेदनों को ध्यान में रखते हुए और करदाताओं की सुविधा के लिए प्रत्यक्ष कर विवाद समाधान योजना, 2016 से लाभ उठाने के लिए इसकी अंतिम तारीख 31 जनवरी, 2017 तक बढ़ा दी गई है। इससे पहले इस योजना की अवधि 31 दिसंबर, 2016 को समाप्त हो रही थी।
लंबित मुकदमेबाजी कम करने के लिए यह योजना वित्त अधिनियम, 2016 के तहत शुरू की गई थी। यह योजना 1 जून, 2016 से अस्तित्व में आई। इसके लिए अधिसूचना एस.ओ. 1902 (ई) दिनांक 26 मई, 2016 को देखें।
