About Infrastructure Scheme : To ensure availability required technology, product diversification, design development, raw material banks, and marketing & promotion facilities in nearest vicinity possible and improve the resource pool of skilled persons in the country this scheme aims at the development of world class infrastructure in the country to support handicraft production, and enhance the product quality and cost to enable it to compete in the world market.

Question: Benefits to individual artisans under Infrastructure scheme.
Ans: Artisans get benefits such as:
- Ease availability of new designs for production.
- Market Place.
- Ease availability of raw material
- Design and craft school.
Question: How many urban haats have sanctioned so far and status thereof.
Ans: There total 37 urban haats and out it 32 are functional . List of urban haat is available on our official website.
Question: Give details of Urban Haat sanctioned at Mammallapuram (Chennai)?
Ans. Under Infrastructure and Technology Development Scheme an Urban Haat at Mammallapuram (Chennai) has been sanctioned at a project cost of Rs. 3.00 crores with release of Rs. 83.80 lakhs during 2015-16 in favour of Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd., Chennai (TN).
Question: Give details of Urban Haat sanctioned at Eluru (Andhra Pradesh)?
Ans Under Infrastructure and Technology Development Scheme an Urban Haat at Eluru (Andhra Pradesh) has been sanctioned at a project cost of Rs. 3.00 crores with release of Rs. 78.60 lakhs during 2015-16 in favour of Shilparamam Arts, Crafts & Cultural Society, Madhapur, Hyderabad.
