According to the Union Minister of Home Affairs Shri Amit Shah, farmers and poor have always been a priority for Modi Government. As promised by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he has extended the PM-Kisan Yojana to all farmers.
Cabinet has approved a new scheme " Pradhan Mantri Kisan Pension Yojana" to provide pensionary benefits to crores of small & marginal farmers.
Key Features of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Pension Yojana
- Cover 5 Crores small and marginal farmers
- Government would spend 10,774.50 Crore for a period of 3 Years.
- Government to contribute equal amount to Pension Fund.
- Entry Age for the scheme is 18-40 years.
- Minimum fixed pension of Rs. 3000 after age of 60 years.

This scheme, in addition to PM-KISAN monetary support, will ease economic burden and lead to greater efficiency.
