Will the Minister of SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP be pleased to state:-
(a) the State/UT-wise details of the youth benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana since the launch of the scheme, year-wise;
(b) the State-wise number of individuals who have received placement assistance and jobs after pursuing skill training under the said scheme; and
(c) the total number of people who have received skill certification under the new scheme?
ANSWER
(a) to (c) Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a flagship skill development scheme of Government of India targeting to cover 24 lakh youth in the country. The scheme is being implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). As on 25th April, 2016, a total of 17.58 lakh candidates have been trained and 5.77 lakh have been certified and 81978 placed under PMKVY. A State/UT wise list of candidates enrolled, trained and certified is given at Annexure.
