(a) the amount released under the Integrated Handloom Development Scheme to the State of Jharkhand during each of the last three years; and
(b) the measures taken by the Government to promote traditional crafts like engraving woodwork in the State of Jharkhand during the said period?

(a): Integrated Handlooms Development Scheme (IHDS) was operational from financial year 2007-08 to November 2013. Funds released to Jharkhand under the scheme during 2011-12 to 2013-14 (upto November 2013) are as follows:

(b): The following measure/schemes are being Implemented by the government to promote and develop handicrafts in the country including the traditional crafts like engraving woodwork in Jharkhand under National Handicraft Development Programme (NHDP):-

I. A. Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojna
i. Dastakar Shashktikaran Yojna.
ii. Design & Technology Upgradation
iii. Human Resource Development
iv. Direct Benefit to Artisans
v. Infrastructure and Technology Support.

B. Mega Cluster

II. Marketing Support & Services.
III. Research and Development

For the state of Jharkhand, a special project for Integrated Development and Promotion of Handicrafts has been sanctioned to benefit 24300 SC and ST artisans in Wood crafts, Bamboo crafts, Patitkar painting, Metal Work, Stone Carving at a project cost of Rs.30.00 crores and a sum of Rs.15.00 crores has been released during 2015-16 in favour of Jharcraft, Jharkhand State.
