(a) the percentage of the allocated money which has been released/utilized for micro-irrigation under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) during each of the last three years; and
(b) the area of land covered by the micro-irrigation project there under out of the total area during the said period, till date?

(a) & (b) Yes Madam. Funds are released for Micro Irrigation under the “Per Drop More Crop”(PDMC) component of PMKSY. The PDMC component mainly focuses on water use efficiency at farm level through precision / micro irrigation (Drip and Sprinkler Irrigation). Besides promoting precision irrigation and better on-farm water management practices to optimize the use of available water resources, this component also supports gap filling interventions like micro level water storage or water conservation / management activities as other interventions, to complement and supplement the works undertaken through various national / state level programmes for drought proofing measures. In addition to PDMC, the “Har Khet ko Pani (HKKP)” component of PMKSY also aims for creation of infrastructure (future ready) for micro irrigation in minimum 10% of Culturable Command Area targeted by the scheme component. The PMKSY was launched in 2015-16. Accordingly, details of funds released in the last 2 years and the current year for PDMC component of PMKSY(which is inclusive of both Micro Irrigation and other interventions)along with area coverage under Micro Irrigation is given at Annexure I.
