(a) the number of weavers registered /enrolled under the Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana;
(b) the number of weavers provided benefits of insurance in the case of natural as well as accidental death and in case of total and partial disability; and
(c) the steps taken to provide the benefits to all the beneficiaries in an effective manner?

(a): 531981 weavers were enrolled under the Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana during 2016-17.
(b): the number of weavers provided benefits during 2016-17, is indicated in the following statement:-

(c): To provide benefits to all the beneficiaries in an effective manner, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), the implementing agency, settles the claim of beneficiary within 10 days of submission of application alongwith requisite documents. Also, the financial benefits are provided through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) only.
