(a) Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) was launched during the year 2015-16, with an aim to enhance physical access of water on farm and expand cultivable area under assured irrigation, improve on-farm water use efficiency, introduce sustainable water conservation practices, etc. PMKSY has various components viz. Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (AIBP), PMKSY –Har Khet Ko Pani (HKKP) including Command Area Development and Water Management (CADWM), Surface-Minor Irrigation (SMI) and Repair, Renovation and Restoration (RRR) of Water Bodies [Implemented by MoWR, RD & GR], PMKSY - Per Drop More Crop (PDMC) [Implemented by Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare] and PMKSY - Watershed Development (WD) [Implemented by Department of Land Resources].
The details of targets as per the approved scheme and achievements under the various components of the PMKSY are as follows:

* During 2016-17, ninety-nine (99) on-going Major/Medium Irrigation (MMI) projects under PMKSY-AIBP having ultimate irrigation potential of 76.03 lakh hectares and balance estimated cost of Rs.77595 crore (Central Assistance (CA) component of Rs.31342 crore) have been prioritized in consultation with States for completion in phases up to December, 2019 along with their Command Area Development & Water Management (CADWM) works. Funding mechanism through NABARD has also been approved by the Government for both Central and State share.
** The figures considered for irrigation potential created during 2018-19 are provisional.
(b) & (c) Department of Agriculture Cooperation &Farmers Welfare (DAC&FW) is implementing the Per Drop More Crop (PDMC) component of PMKSY under which Central Assistance (CA) is provided for Micro Irrigation System. The pattern of assistance payable to the beneficiary under the Micro Irrigation component is 55% for small and marginal farmers and 45% for other farmers. The subsidy payable to the beneficiary is limited to an overall ceiling of 5 hectares per beneficiary and to the unit costs specified in the scheme guidelines. 50% of the allocation is utilized for small, marginal farmers.
(d) The details of the budget allocations under various components of PMKSY during 2017-18and 2018-19 are as below.
